The other day in Collingwood, a beautiful sunset caught our attention.

Since dad’s heart attack and throughout his roller coaster recovery, I’ve been thinking more and more about sunsets.

What struck me the most was that the beauty wasn't solely in the sunset itself.

As we gazed at the setting, we became aware of the boats passing by, adding to the picturesque scene.

Looking around, we saw other people, just like us, appreciating the beauty of the moment. It was a shared experience of wonder and admiration.

A dog on a boat gazed back at us from the shore, while a water skier glided past the sun, fully immersed in the joy of riding the waves.

It is in these moments that I realize the true essence of living. It isn't just about a sunset. Or sunrise, for that matter.

It's about the ongoing ripples through the water that continues long after the sun sets.
